Mattel is offering a great exclusive at this years San Diego Comic-Con with their Turtles Of Grayskull Super Shredder action figure, which is a combination of both Skeletor from Masters of the Universe and Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This will be sold at the Mattel merchandise booth (#3029) at San Diego Comic-Con and online at Mattel Creations on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 9am PT.

Skele-Shredder is packaged in a hexagonal with a slide out blister, with beautifully done artwork on all sides, including the helmet, stones, and mutagen ooze. This is a 6-sided box, and the top particularly lifts up so you can see Skele-Shredder inside, his throne, and his accessories inside. There is also a flap that folds down once the top part is lifted up. To remove the figure, you have to lift the top part up, carefully as there are several flaps that keep it from lifting all the way up. Pull those flaps away, and you can lift the top part up and remove it, and remove the contents inside.
Included is the Havoc is Afoot Mini-Comic and a sheet of instructions for Skele-Shredder on one side, and the throne on another.
Skele-Shredder is placed on his throne in the packaging and is scaled perfectly so he can be seated. There are two pegs on the base for his feet, which helps him stay seated so he doesn’t fall off. There are two flags, The Foot flag on the left, and showing Skeletor’s havoc staff on the right. The seat is given some sculpted details, with bones as the arm rests, and the back also has some skeletal striations that look metal, with a spine as the seat, and the top has a metallic gold helmet that can also be placed on the figure. There are also 6 blades on the back that can be removed and some can be used as weapons for Skele-Shredder. \
 
Skele-Shredder includes four interchangeable head sculpts, with this one paying tribute to Shredder’s design. The body is mostly armored, with the base of the body reuse from Origins He-Man and Skeletor. The armor is a dark grey, beige bones, metallic silver bracelets, neon green belt, with a metallic silver belt buckle face, metallic purple design hanging down from that, and the harness is purple, neon green, and skeletal details. The front of the harness has a red design with metallic silver around it. The purple hood and fabric cape are one piece, which can be removed. This head sculpt is grey, with glaring red eyes, black around it, and nice details such as a mouth and blades on the forehead.
His wrists also have removable claws, which are bones and a skull, with metallic silver blades.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles.
The bone-and-steel ram staff can be placed in one or both hands, and includes a blade that is metallic silver, neon green bone skull, purple and metallic silver on the handle.
This is what I’m calling the Super Shredder head, with a red design on top, and glaring red eyes.
The flags from the Samurai Throne can also be held by Skele-Shredder, and here is a look at him holding the Foot one.
This head sculpt represents Skeletor, as it’s clearly a skull with an open big mouth, glaring red eyes, and a neon green design on top.
The bone-and-steel ram staff works for any of his heads, and here is a look at him holding it.
The havoc staff head is on the other flag, which works for Skeletor.
This form is something unique =, with the metallic gold helmeted head that was on the top of the throne, now being used as his head, and four of the blades from the back of the throne being used as weapons for him. Two on the back, and two used as blades that he can hold. These blades are clearly a Shredder homage.
The throne can also store two of the heads just below the arm rests, as there are two ball jointed skeletal parts hanging just below them, the heads can be placed on the ball joints.
It’s time to compare with other Turtles of Grayskull figures. Here is a look at Skele-Shredder with Shredder, Krang, Bebop/Rocksteady “Bopsteady”, Raphael, He-Man and Beast Man.
Overall, Skele-Shredder is an excellent figure that makes a great convention exclusive this year and he combines two of the most memorable villains of Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This is what makes Turtles of Grayskull a fun and entertaining line, by bringing these brands together, and forming interesting characters together. Make sure to grab him at Mattel Creations on July 24th, or get him at San Diego Comic-Con.
