Wreck-Gar joins Hasbro’s Transformers Age of the Primes line, and is based on his appearance in Transformers Animated. Wreck-Gar is part of the Voyager-Class figures, and transformers into a post-apocalyptic garbage truck.

Wreck-Gar is packaged in the standard Voyager Class window box for the line, with artwork, logo’s and images on all sides, and the back includes a look at him in both modes. Included is a sheet of instructions.
Wreck-Gar is based on his appearance in Transformers: Animated from 2007-2009, and he transformers into a post-apocalyptic garbage truck. He is a a redeco of a Legacy: Evolution Junkion, and has the ability to split apart to form armor and weapon enhancements for other Autobots to use. The robot mode is bulky and he is mostly orange, with red, grey, silver, black, yellow and dark blue (for the windshield and side windows in vehicle mode).
The head sculpt is all-new, and features a good likeness to the source material. This includes a orange helmet, white face, a goatee, blue eyes and black eye linter.
Included is a large shovel claw weapon that he can hold in either hand, or on the sides of his forearm for the claw part. The claw weapon can swivel around, which puts the twin blades forward, paying homage to the original Animated figure.
In robot mode, his articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel wrists, waist rotation, swivel-hinged hips, hinged knees, and swivel ankles. The ankle joints are very loose fitting and he tends to fall forward unless you lean him backwards a bit. For a more secure stance, bend his knees and position his feet in a steady position.
His vehicle mode is a post-apocalyptic garbage truck, with an Autobot logo on the side of the door, and the claw weapon is used an an opening trash loading hopper in truck mode around the back.
Overall, Animated Junkion Wreck-Gar is a decent figures and a great update to the original figure. Wreck-Gar is a nice addition to the line and the Animated portion of the line has another Autobot. Make sure to grab him and other figures now at Entertainment Earth.
