The Main Man has returned to McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse line with a new figure, which is based on his appearance in DC Comics. Lobo is the last survivor of his race, called the CZARNIAN. He is also an alien bounty hunter, and has had numerous encounters with Superman and other DC heroes.

Lobo is packaged in a window box with the standard artwork and logo’s seen in the line, and the back includes a detailed painting of the character. Lobo comes in a plastic tray, and the collector card and base is attached to the inside of the cardboard backing.
Lobo uses the same sculpt as previously seen before, with a new head sculpt and what appears to be an updated hip joint that helps him stand up better.He comes in a black biker jacket with a blue wash in the front, that’s torn with spikes on top, and a skull with wings and the words Bite Me Fan Boy on the back. He also is given black jeans with a blue wash also on the front, a black belt with metallic grey circles and a skull belt buckle. The boots are also black, and the front of the pants and top of the boots have shin guards and armor, which are a metallic grey, with spikes on the sides of the armor, and stars and upside down triangles on the knee pads. The hands are also given black gloves with the fingers showing through, and he has an undershirt that is light blue and torn, with a sculpted texture.
HIs articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed stomach, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles, and hinged toes.
Lobo’s head sculpt features a great likeness, with long black sculpted hair, painted facial details and an open mouth given a red tongue, and yellow teeth. The eyes have a black eye liner, with red eyes, and he’s given a painted black mustache.
Lobo includes a new hook with a real chainlink, which is also an improvement over what’s come before. A knife is also include, and both have silver blades.
Space Dolphins are capable of surviving the vacuum of space somehow and look just like Earth Dolphin’s that swim in oceans. The dolphin is given several shades of light grey, with black eyes, fin, flippers and a sculpted mouth. The space dolphin is great, but he should have included Dawg, his dog.
Lobo also includes a rifle he can hold in one or two hands.
Here is a comparison with his earlier release, and this new one is an improvement in appearance, including paint applications and includes more accessories.
Overall, Lobo is an excellent figure with a great likeness that’s given improvements over his earlier release. The extra accessories, updated hook with chain link, and paint applications make this one worth of adding to your collection. Make sure to grab him now at BigBadToyStore while you can!
