Powerglide is packaged in the standard window box, with artwork and logo’s showcasing the character in both modes on the front, an image of him on the left, images of the Primes on the right, and the back features a look at him in both modes. Included is a sheet of instructions to show his transformation and features.
Powerglide is based on his appearance of the 1980’s Transformers: Generation One cartoon, and this is the best figure and likeness of the character that Hasbro has released to date. Powerglide comes in his classic colors, including dark Red, grey, an Autobot logo in light red and silver on his chest, blue and yellow on the crotch, and the back of the legs has a blacked out Autobot logo where there would have been the hologram around silver on the classic Transformers G1 figures (also referred to as a rubsign).
His head sculpt looks great, and includes a silver face plate with light blue eyes. The chest opens up as a reference to an episode of the classic cartoon, with a sculpted and painted heart-shaped collection of lights. The face can be turned around by lifting the top piece on the top of the head, and placing the wearable alien mask that is based on the mask worn by several Autobots in the cartoon episode “Hoist Goes Hollywood.” This alien mask can also attach to the top of the blaster.
Powerglide includes a blaster, which is newly sculpted, along with the Alien mask.
His articulation includes swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, and swivel ankles.

Powerglide’s alternate mode is an A-10 ground-attack jet, with details that includes Autobot logo’s on the top of the wings, a silver cockpit, and the rubsign is more visible as it’s on the top.
The blaster can also be stored on top, as that has a 5mm port.
Overall, Powerglide is an excellent figure with a great likeness to the source material and this is the best likeness of the character that Hasbro has ever released. With that said, it’s long overdue for a likeness as good as this, and this will be something to add to the G1 collection. Make sure to grab him and additional figures now at Entertainment Earth!
