Herald of Unicron is packaged in the standard window box for the line, with artwork and logo’s showcasing the character in both modes on the front, an image of him on the left, images of the Primes on the right, and the back features a look at him in both modes.
Herald of Unicron is a retool of Megatronus the Fallen, and transforms into a Cybertronian tank that is loosely based on the Cybertron Deluxe Unicron figure of the vintage line. The overall design of the character is based on the Acolytes from the pages of the Transformers Marvel Comics run, with some details, including the shoulders that are a tribute to the vintage Unicron toy. He features a formidable design, with keeping the Unicron colors, such as the orange, black, light and dark grey, and silver, along with some red details.
His head sculpt features two swivel light grey horns on top, a silver face plate, orange dome for a helmet, and red eyes.
In robot mode, his articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel wrists, hinged fingers, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Herald of Unicron includes four removable horns, which are placed on the lower knees and shoulders, two newly tooled blasters that are inspired by the ones wielded in Regeneration One, and a reuse of The Fallen’s Energon machete and staff (without the rubber Spark fuser tip). The figure features 5mm ports to place these weapons onto the body, such as the forearms, lower legs and a few other places and the horns and weapons can be swapped out and placed wherever you’d like. The two black blasters are placed on the sides to become the Requiem Blaster, which can also be used to place the other weapons or horns.
Here is a comparison of Herald of Unicron with some other figures in the line, including Megatronus the Fallen.
His tank mode is packed to the teeth with weapons, including all the weapons he uses in the robot mode and horns. This design is based on the Cybertron Deluxe Unicron figure of the vintage line.
Overall, Herald of Unicron is an excellent figure with a great likeness and a character and something new for fans . This is a must as he makes a great companion character to Unicron himself, so make sure to add this Transformers character to your collection, You can find him and additional figures now at BigBadToyStore!
