Marvel’s Secret Wars was one of the most memorable story arch’s in the 1980’s, which ran from 1984 – 1985 in March Comics, and also had a great toy line by Kenner. The story puts Marvel’s heroes and villains against each other and placed on BattleWorld by the Beyonder. Hasbro is now offering a full wave of Secret Wars figures in their Marvel Legends line, which includes Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, The Beyonder, Titania and Spider-Man.
The Beyonder is a god-like powerful alien that created battleworld and put heroes and villains as an experiment, and attempts to discover his own humanity.

Beyonder is packaged on a blister card with artwork and logo’s inspired from the vintage Secret Wars toy line of the 1980’s by Kenner. The back includes a comic image of him, a description, images of the wave, and instructions of the shield that includes a hologram.
Beyonder is inspired from his appearance in Marvel Comics’ Secret Wars of 1984-1985, and this is his human form as seen in the comic. Beyonder comes in a light grey outfit, with sculpted wrinkles, and a muscular physique. In the comic, and it depends on the artwork and panel, the outfit looks more white than grey, and while Hasbro doesn’t usually include the black shading, it probably would have made this figure a bit better just like we’ve seen them do with some of the Transformers figures. But it’s still a very good comic-inspired figure, and they match the likeness extremely well.
The head sculpt is given some great sculpted details, including deco, black sculpted hair, blue eyes, and white teeth.
Beyonder comes with two sets of interchangeable hands, closed fisted, and open grip.
The energy effect has some great sculpted details and flames, sculpted textures and the flames are translucent orange plastic.
Also included is a hologram, which has blue hair, purple hair, and shows his true alien form. You can also open up the shield and replace the hologram with a Secret Wars piece.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, waist rotation, ball joined hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Beyonder is a great figures and a really good likeness to his comic book appearance. This character also makes his debut in Marvel Legends, . Make sure to grab Hasbro’s Secret Wars wave at Entertainment Earth
