Mattel is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of She-Ra: Princess of Power with their Masters of the Universe: Origins She-Ra and Swift Wind Figures that are part of the Cartoon Collection and inspired by their appearance on the classic Filmation cartoon. This will be available exclusively on Mattel Creations on September 24th, 2025 at 9am PST for Club Grayskull members, and September. 25th at 9am PT for everyone else.

She-Ra and Swift Wind are packaging in a box with a slip cover, with the slip cover featuring artwork that includes the 40th Anniversary logo, along with some great artwork on all sides, and the back also includes a description. She-Ra and Swift Wind come in a plastic tray, with a plastic slip cover over it, and underneath the cardboard one. Also included is a black card with a hologram of She-Ra on the front, and the back includes a description.
She-Ra and Swift Wind are inspired by their appearance in the 1980’s She-Ra: Princess of Power Filmation series, and are part of the Classic Cartoon appearance. This is the first-time that Swift Wind is solely inspired by the cartoon, and offered in this scale since 1984.
She-Ra uses the same sculpt as the existing Cartoon Collection figure, with an all-new head sculpt, and a new fabric cape. She comes in her classic white, and metallic gold outfit, with gold boots and bracelets, and a blue gem on her chest. The skirt if made of a soft plastic so it doesn’t get in the way of the hip articulation.
She-Ra’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles.
Her head sculpt comes with a gold crown, red gem, and translucent yellow plastic for the hair, as if she’s powering up from Adora into She-Ra.
She-Ra includes her Power Sword and Shield, which are given a blue wash, and painted in a metallic silver, which is an improvement over the grey. These are the same accessories and tooling as the first release in the Cartoon Collection. There I also a gem on both the sword and shield. She can also be placed on top of Swift Wind, and there are straps for her feet, but not her hands. She can however hold her accessories white riding Swift Wind, as seen in the cartoon.

Swift Wind includes a saddle and a harness, with the wings being attached to the harness with pegs being plugged into the sides or it. You may want to use a hair dryer to press the pegs down, as that was the best way to do it as they were sticking up and it’s never a good idea to use force and press hard on toys. The wings are green, pink and orange, with sculpted feathers and textures. They are given several points of articulation, including swivel-hinged hips, and swivel upper wings.
The rest of the articulation includes a ball jointed head, hinged neck, swivel-hinged tail, ball jointed hips x4, swivel-hinged knees x4, back legs have an upper swivel-hinged knees x2, and hinged and rocker ankles x4.
Swift Wind includes a mask, which is also removable, which also includes a horn of a unicorn in metallic gold .the mask is purple and blue. All of the armor and saddles are removable, and he is a white horse, with an orange mane, orange tail, and orange hooves. There is also a crown on his head that is metallic gold with a red gem.

Overall, She-Ra and Swift Wind are excellent figures that are 40 years into the making, and this two of the best figures we’ve ever gotten of these characters.
