Despara is given a modern update in Mattel’s New Eternia sub-line of their Masters of the Universe Masterverse line, which pays tribute to her 1980’s design and given new elements and design. When Adora was taken by the Horde at a young age, they brainwashed her to become a deadly warrior and named her Despara, but she broke through the mind control as an adult and discovered she was Price Adam’s sister and eventually lead the Great Rebellion in their mission to defeat the Evil Horde. Adora also discovered she has her own power sword (called the Sword of Protection), and can transform into She-Ra, a warrior with super strength whose power matches only that of her brother, He-Man.

Despara is packaged in the standard window box packaging, with beautifully done artwork on all sides, logo’s, and images of her and the rest of the wave on the back.
Despara pays tribute to her appearance from the 1980’s, but given new elements and a new design as she is part of the New Eternia sub-line in Masterverse. She comes in her grey, red and black armor, with the Horde logo on the front of the armor, a black belt with a gold belt buckle, fabric cape, holsters for her swords on the back of the armor, light brown pants, red and gold boots, a light grey long sleeved shirt, red and gold gauntlets, and a Horde arm band on her left forearm.
Despara’s head sculpt features sculpted blonde hair, red eyes with black eye linter, brown lipstick, and nicely done facial details. Her mask clips over the head, and is mostly white, with red and black.
Despara includes a mask, two sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted and open grip), two swords, and two interchangeable head sculpts (Despara and Adora).
A comparison shows her with Hordak, Shadow Weaver, and She-Ra.
The armor is removable, and underneath is Adora’s outfit, which mostly covers her red shirt, and black belt with a gold belt buckle. The design also pays tribute to her classic appearance, but also some new elements. The Horde band is also supposed to be removable, but it’s very hard to remove it as the shoulder and elbow joints cannot be removed, and your best best is to lift it over the gauntlet, which is very tight and hart to remove. So it was left on to prevent breakage.
Her head sculpt features long blonde hair, painted eyes, red lips, and nicely done facial details.
She-Ra’s power sword can fit into her hand, and here’s a comparison with She-Ra, and Sorceress.
