Mattel is now offering their Masters of the Universe Origins 200X Teela, Orko, Mer-Man and Roboto Figures, which are based on the 2002 series, and part of the Cartoon Collection offerings. This has been an excellent sub-line in Origins as this fan-favorite series deserves a modern line like this, despite this show was cancelled before its time. The third season would have been spectacular, as it would have told the story of the Third Ultimate Battleground, with the Masters of the Universe and Skeletor’s Evil Warriors, against the Horde and the Snake Men. The Masters of the Universe Classics mini-comics dived into this a bit, and we learned about some of the loses in the war, the outcome and some of the battles being fought, but it’s not the same thing.
Each figure is priced at $21.99, while Roboto is a deluxe and priced at $26.99.

Teela comes packaged on a blister card, with the 200X Castle Grayskull and logo on the front, and the back includes some great artwork featuring Teela and Ram Man, the logo and informs fans that she’s inspired from the episode “The Ties That Bind.”
Roboto comes in a window box, as he’s a deluxe figure, and includes Castle Grayskull and the 200X logo on top, images of him on the sides, and the back includes some great artwork and informs fans that he’s inspired fromm the episode “Roboto’s Gambit.”
Both figures includes a sheet of instructions showing which parts can be removed and swapped, and Roboto includes a card.

Teela comes in her 200X outfit, and includes a a white and gold armored outfit, with teal shoulder pads, grey belt, light green jewel on top of the shirt, light and dark grey cuffs, brown boots, gold forearm guards and bracelets on the biceps. This is a significant amount of detail on this Origins figure and the likeness to her onscreen appearance from the series is spot on.

Her head sculpt includes long red hair, with a crown and tie for the ponytail, blue eyes, red lips and eye lashes, and nicely done facial details.

Teela includes a staff with a snake head on the top, which she can hold in her right hand.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel Cales, hinged and rocker ankles.

Here’s a comparison with Man-At-Arms, Prince Adam, Stratos and Zodak.

Roboto is a deluxe figure and oversized, and is a big, bulky robotic build, with a detailed sculpt and comes in light blue, light grey, red and dark grey, with the chest featuring transparent blue plastic and you can see the robotic gears inside the chest, as well as the back. On the sides of the chest there are two blue vents, and parts of the sculpt has sculpted grooves and patterns, which is a nice touch.

His head sculpt is about the same size as his hands, and is oval shaped and in light grey, blue and red plastic, with a blue visor.

Roboto includes a shoulder mounted cannon, which can be placed on top of either shoulder as there is a hole where the peg on the cannon can be placed into. This swivel around and is a bit too loose on the shoulder, and it also can fall out easily. He also includes an alternate hand double-cannon blaster, which can be swapped out with his open grip red hand.
Roboto’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Here’s a comparison with Teela, Ram Man, Beast Man Clawful, and Man-At-Arms.
Overall, Teela and Roboto look great and pay great likenesses to the classic cartoon. The likenesses are truly something special here and the paint apps and the attention to detail on both makes these that much better. These are definitely must haves to add to your collection, so grab them now at BigBadToyStore.
