Mattel is now offering their Masters of the Universe Origins 200X Sorceress, Sy-Klone, Trap Jaw and Man-E-Faces Figures, which are based on the 2002 series, and part of the Cartoon Collection offerings. This has been an excellent sub-line in Origins as this fan-favorite series deserves a modern line like this, despite this show was cancelled before its time. The third season would have been spectacular, as it would have told the story of the Third Ultimate Battleground, with the Masters of the Universe and Skeletor’s Evil Warriors, against the Horde and the Snake Men. The Masters of the Universe Classics mini-comics dived into this a bit, and we learned about some of the loses in the war, the outcome and some of the battles being fought, but it’s not the same thing.
Each figure is priced at $21.99, while Man-E-Faces is a deluxe and priced at $24.99.

Sorceress, Sy-Klone, and Trap Jaw  comes packaged on a blister card, with the 200X Castle Grayskull and logo on the front, and the back includes some great artwor, the logo and informs fans what episode that they are inspired from. Man-E-Faces comes in a window box, as he’s a deluxe figure, and includes Castle Grayskull and the 200X logo on top, images of him on the sides, and the back includes some great artwork. All figures includes a sheet of instructions showing which parts can be removed and swapped, and Man-E-Faces includes a card.
Sorceress is the first character offered in the 200X to not be officially part of a faction, such as a member of the Masters of the Universe or Skeletor’s Evil Warriors, as he job is to protect Castle Grayskull and guide Prince Adam/He-Man. She comes in her show-accurate outfit, which includes a teal and gold top and knee pads, a beige skirt with gold trim, gold and light brown boots, and gold bracelets on her wrists. Her wings are sculpted with features and textures and removable as they are pins pushed into the holes on her back, and because of this they are on the fragile side.
Her head sculpt includes a light brown and teal head piece that’s shaped like an eagle, gold earrings, blue paint on her face, painted lips and eyes, and nicely done facial details.
Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel wings, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Included with Sorceress is her iconic staff, with the top of it shared to resemble an eagle.
Sy-Klone is a blue skin cyborg with blue skin, and a yellow and dark blue armor, with red trim and belt. His chest features a hologram with some great detail, and a sculpt with grooves and he definitely looks the part of a cyborg.
His head sculpt shows the light blue skin, and he’s given a helmet, which is yellow and red. The face include painted eyes, and sculpted facial details.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
The ring can be placed on his back through the hole, and stays in place, or do something crazy that wasn’t in the cartoon and place it in his hand. He also includes a shield that clips onto either wrist.
Trap Jaw comes in his light blue skin tone chest, a black harness, green belt, black shorts, light and dark grey legs with a green pad, light and dark grey cybernetic arm with a claw or blade attachment, and a dark grey glove on the left.
His head sculpt features a light green skin tone, with the jaw missing and replaced with a red piece that’s supposed to represent metal from the cartoon, which is also hinged, and a dark red and grey helmet. The facial details look great and extremely detailed, especially the eyes and mouth.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, hinged jaw, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Included is a claw and blade attachment.
Man-E-Faces is a deluxe figure and the largest figure in the wave, but he’s not bulky like Ram Man, Roboto, Clawful and Whiplash are. Given he’s at a higher price point, his face spinning feature is re-created here as seen in the cartoon. He comes in a dark beige chest, with purple, grey, black and brown armor, with green on the chest and the sides of the faces. The sculpt is incredibly detailed and Mattel’s team really went all out on the likeness, and they paid extra attention to the brown cord around his torso, back, legs and the back of the arms.
HIs head sculpt is helmeted, and the dial on top is how you spin the faces around, as seen with other Man-E-Faces figures. This includes his human, robotic and monster faces, all given a great sculpt, likeness and attention to detail.
His articulation includes spinning faces, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Man-E-Faces includes his blaster, which he can hold in either open grip hand.

Overall, Sorceress, SylKlone, Trap Jaw and Man-E-Faces all look great and pay great likenesses to the their classic cartoon appearances. This is a line that I have been personally enjoying as 200X is a personal favorite, and each new release have brought back fond memories of the series. It’s a shame that the line has ended and this appears to be the final wave, at least for the moment as this sub-line has been put on hiatus along with Masterverse. We’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds. These are definitely must haves to add to your collection, so grab them now at Entertainment Earth.
