Banshee is part of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Mini-Comic wave, which each figure comes with their own comic book. Banshee is inspired from Marvel’s Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975), which is a classic storyline of when the original X-Men were captured, Professor Xavier needed help and found new allies to rescue the original X-Men. This wave also includes Rom: Spaceknight, Adam Warlock, Miles Morales, Daken and Ultimate Iron Man.

Banshee is packaged on a blister card with artwork featuring Giant-Size X-Men $1 from 1975 by Marvel Comics, including great images, and the back features more artwork and a look at the wave.
Banshee uses the same sculpt offered in 2023’s The Uncanny X-Men 60th Anniversary #275 3-Pack, which had also included Gambit and Psylocke. This is also a slight retool, with the bands around the wrists, thighs and calves being removed. The X-Men logo belt was also removed. This is still a great sculpt for Banshee, and he is based on his appearance in Giant-Size X-Men #1 from 1975. This time around, he comes in his green and yellow outfit, with a black and yellow stripe cape. Banshee’s cape is made of plastic held in place by clips.
Banshee’s head sculpts are the same as previously offered, including the normal head sculpt that represents his Irish decent with the long bangs, and the screaming head is given an open mouth as if he’s using his Sonic Scream power.
Banshee includes also includes two sets of interchangeable hands (open grip and closed fisted), and an additional right open hand.
Banshee’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, double jointed knees, swivel boots, hinged and rocker ankles.
Also included is a mini-comic featuring the artwork on the front of Giant-Size X-Men #1, which is a nice accessory for him and something not done before. This is the first-time I’ve had a chance to check this out in-person, and the printed comic on the front looks great and they did a nice job on the scale. The back of it shows the Marvel Legends logo.
Back at New York ToyFair 2025, Hasbro’s Marvel Legends brand team gave out a mini-comic from this wave with the words NYTF ’25 on the back to attendees at their booth, but not every outlet received one. Hasbro’s PR team was unaware of this giveaway and made a note of it when I went back to ask about it, and said at the time they will look into it and possibly ship one to those that didn’t get one, but as of today, Hasbro has not shipped it or acknowledged this with a response to email. Apparently the Marvel team went ahead and printed this up for attendees, but failed to make sure that everyone got one, and failed to notify the PR team of this giveaway, so this was surely an epic fail, and a slap in the face to the outlets that didn’t get one. Nevertheless, it’s still a great little accessory for the figures.

Overall, this is a great Banshee figure and a classic costume from X-Men that fans are going to want to add to their collections, This Banshee figure is also the final piece missing from the cover of Giant-Size X-Men #1, and getting him has been long overdue.
