This is price gouging and corporate greed. Plain and simple. Kirk Bozigian, a G.I. Joe Legend and former Vice President of Boys Toys at Hasbro publicly went on Linkedin this week and said “No excuse for this except corporate greed. Blaming TARIFFS is an easy excuse. The answer is to move production, work harder with your vendors, cost reduce, INNOVATE! Inflation with tariffs is running at 2.5-2.7%. Why a 12% wholesale price increase? Kids no longer play with GI Joe and soon Kidadults will no longer collect!”
Hasbro’s upcoming Marvel Legends X-Men ’97 Wave 3 Figures are listed at $27.99 each on Amazon, up from their earlier pre-order price of $24.99. Not only did Hasbro increase the price recently with Emperor Doom, but are now increasing prices on existing pre-orders. This wave includes Morph, Jubilee, Emma Frost, Cable, Sunspot and Logan. Other retailers, including Entertainment Earth, and BigBadToyStore, have not raised prices at this time, but may do so. You may want to pre-order elsewhere such as those stores to get the best price. Other waves and offerings may also see a price increase at any moment.
This wave ships in November 2025. Pre-Orders are available on Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore, Amazon, Zavvi UK, Zavvi U.S./Canada, and GameStop.
