After many years of waiting, Hasbro is finally offering The Inhumans in their Marvel Legends line, which are inspired by their appearance in Marvel Comics. The latest offerings includes Blackbolt and Triton, Medusa and Gorgon, and the previously released Crystal and Lockjaw. Karnak was also released in Disney+ Smart Hulk (build-a-figure) wave. While Hasbro has already done Black Bolt and Medusa on numerous occasions in the past, these new figures are simply better and make what came before obsolete (for the most part).

Medusa and Gorgon are packaged in a window box with artwork and logo’s including the Marvel Legends, Marvel and Inhuman logo’s on the front, images and logo’s on the sides, and the back includes more comic-inspired artwork, logo’s, and a description. The figures come in a plastic tray for safe keeping, along with their accessories.
Medusa is given an all-new sculpt with the best comic-inspired likeness ever offered for the character, and is an improvement over what’s come before in Marvel Legends. She comes in her comic-inspired purple and black outfit, with a lack mask over half of her face, purple and black gloves and boots. Most of her arms and legs are left bare, and the mask only covers the upper half of her head and the sides, with the exception of her eyes and ears. Medusa’s hair hangs almost all the way down to the ground, but with it being this long she is back heavy, so you need to pose her legs in a 45 degree angle or bend them to allow her hair to touch the ground to support the back weight.
Medusa’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ab crunch, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Medusa head sculpt features two face plates that are interchangeable, allowing you to display her with two options. Her hair is long and red, and she has the mutant power to extend her hair and control the movement of it. The hair is red with a wash, and most of it is individually sculpted. Her facial details look great and her two expressions are neutral, and grinning. The eyes and lips are painted, which looks great.
Medusa includes two sets of interchangeable hands, closed fisted and open with the fingers sculpted apart. Depending on the pose you place her in it might be difficult to get her to stand up right as the hair is back heavy, so make sure to bend the knees or put the legs in a 45 degree angle.
Medusa is an improvement over previous offerings, with a better likeness, sculpt and attention to detail.
Gorgon makes his debut in this line and stands at roughly 9″ tall, making him one of the tallest figures in the line this year. He comes in his comic-inspired outfit, which is multiple shades of brown, beige, black, grey knee pads, wrist bracelets, and crown on his head. The cloak that’s wrinkled and sculpted to around his upper torso is a separate piece, with sculpted textures, and a dark brown collar around the head. His feet and legs are bull-like, with hooves and he has the ability to create create intense shockwaves equivalent to a powerful earthquake by stomping on the ground. He also has enhanced strength and durability.
Gorgon’s articulation includes a ball jointed head and hinged neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Gorgon’s head sculpt features a great likeness to his comic-appearance, and comes with brown sculpted hair, the grey crown, a black mask covering around hie eyes, white eyes, and painted lips and white teeth.
Gorgon includes two sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted, right open grip, and left neutral, and a mace that has green translucent plastic and a grey handle. The mace can also be placed in the right open grip hand.
The Inhumans are long overdue in Marvel Legends and Hasbro has been offering core members of the team, with Black Bolt and Triton also released but not shown in the gallery (not in-hand yet).
Overall, Medusa and Gorgon are excellent figures with a great likeness to the source material and a lot of great detail. This is an essential release for the Inhumans, Fantastic Four and Marvel collectibles, and fans are in for a treat with these new offerings.
