Constrictor is packaged on a blister card with artwork and logo’s inspired from the vintage Secret Wars toy line of the 1980’s by Kenner. The back includes an action shot of him, a description, images of the wave, and instructions of the shield that includes a hologram.

Constrictor is given an a modern Marvel Legends sculpt compared to his previous release in the Terrax build-a-figure line, and the parts used here are on the latest body sculpts used for Marvel Legends. The sculpt is lean and muscular, and pays a great likeness to the comics. He comes painted in a dark blue outfit, with light orange on the mask, neck, chest, forearms and boots with black lines that are crisp and clean.

The head sculpt is mostly masked with the dark blue and orange as the suit, with the black lines over the orange, and white eyes. The mouth shows the grinning white teeth, and flesh tone deco on the face.

The forearms have ports that the coils are plugged into, which allows him to hold them. The forearms also have the ports right above the hands, which prevents wrist articulation on this particular figure, but the forearms have swivel joints, which is unusual for the line.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, hinged neck, ball hinged shoulders, butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel forearms, ab crunch, swivel waist, ball joined hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

The shield includes a hologram that shows him with the mask, and without his mask by moving it up and down. The first wave had shields that you can open it up and replace the hologram with a Secret Wars logo piece. This release does not have an extra piece to be swapped out, but you can still open the shield and replace it with a logo piece from one of wave 1’s offerings if you prefer.

Here’s a comparison with Falcon, Dr. Doom, Absorbing Man, and all of wave 1’s offerings.

Overall, Constrictor is a great figure and a welcome addition to the line. Since it’s been more than 15 years since this character has been released so getting a new updated offering is certainly a treat for fans. This is definitely an essential release to building your villains in Marvel Legends and looks great with the line overall. Make sure to grab Hasbro’s Secret Wars waves 1 and 2 now at BigBadToyStore!
