When it comes to Hulk, there’s a number of alternate versions in the MCU that fans will recall, other than the usual angry smash Hulk, such as Smart Hulk, Grey Hulk/Joe Fixit, Maestro Hulk, Zombie Hulk, along with possibly others, and this Professor Hulk version, which is a merger of Banner, Savage and Grey Hulks. This version of Hulk has his own separate personality and does not have the traits of the other version. When Professor Hulk anger gets to a certain level, he will transform back into Bruce Banner, though with the mind and personality of the Savage Hulk. This is a weakness that other incarnations of Hulk do not have, but he is also notably stronger than these other incarnations.

Professor Hulk comes packaged in a window box, which is inspired by retro ToyBiz Hulk figures of the mid-1990’s, including the Incredible Hulk logo, on the front and pack, and some great artwork on all sides. The back includes an image of him along with a description.
Professor Hulk is an unusual looking Hulk variation, which includes a black tank top with a sculpted texture, a removable ammo harness around his torso, a black belt with a texture and a silver belt buckle, and brown pants with sculpted folds. Hulk is given some reuse from previous releases of Hulk and Red Hulk, including the chest (the tank top is placed over the chest and not removable), arms, hands, crotch, ankles and feet.This is a clever reuse as you can’t tell the parts are reuse until you compare it. He is given a bulky and muscular sculpt, with the legs appear to be new from the thigh joint to the hinged knee joint. The ammo harness can be removed from the back, and is black and dark grey.
Hulk is given two new head sculpts, each with their own facial details and likeness, with a natural one, and the grinning one with the teeth. The hair is in black with a green wash, and the eyes, eye brows, and mouth are sculpted and painted.
Hulk’s articulation includes a ball jointed head and hinged neck, ball hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Hulk includes two sets of interchangeable hands, including closed fisted, and open grip. The left grip hand can hold the blaster, and glasses. The two fingers are sculpted to look as though they can hold the glasses at the lens, but that’s not the case as it’s too hard to recreate that, and the glasses are on the fragile side, meaning they could break if excessive force is used. They do fit on the face nicely and the nose and ears hold it into place, but they could also fall off rather easily.
The blaster can only be placed in his left open grip hand, as the right one is not compatible. Also included is a set of pink bunny slippers, with their faces on the front and ears on top. His feet can slide into them from the back, and they stay on pretty well.

Overall, Professor Hulk is a great addition to the line and features a great likeness to the source material. The attention to details, accessories, sculpt and paint all look great and this is a version of Hulk you’re going to want to add to your collection.
